Boletia vs Passline vs MaunaOne: Where to Sell Tickets for Your Event in Mexico (2026)

If you organize events in Mexico—festivals, conferences, concerts, or meet and greets—and you are deciding where to sell your tickets, the three most common names you'll hear are Boletia, Passline, and MaunaOne. All three solve the same problem in different ways. Here is an honest comparison of what actually matters: how much they cost, when you receive your money, how you distribute tickets, and what type of event each one is best suited for.

Before diving in: since February 2026, Profeco forces ticketing companies in Mexico to disclose prices at least 24 hours prior to the sale and has banned dynamic pricing. Price transparency is no longer optional, so it is highly valuable to understand exactly what each platform charges you.

The real cost: commission vs service fee

This is where people get most confused, because "free for the organizer" almost never means free.

Passline. The service fee is paid by the buyer and ranges from 10 to 20 percent of the price of each ticket, with a platform commission close to 15 percent. You receive the ticket face value, but that percentage is added to the final price your customer sees, which makes the ticket more expensive and can hurt your conversion rate.

Boletia. Charges a commission on the total transaction amount and lets you choose whether you absorb it or pass it on to the buyer. They do not publish a fixed percentage, so it is best to request a quote based on your event volume.

MaunaOne. Two clear and public options:

  • Starter: free, no monthly fee, 5 percent per sale.

  • Pro: 899 pesos per month plus 1 percent per sale.

To put it into numbers, let's look at an event that sells 500,000 pesos in tickets:

  • With Pro at 1 percent, you pay close to 5,000 pesos plus the monthly fee.

  • With Starter at 5 percent, you pay 25,000 pesos.

  • With a 15 percent service fee (the traditional ticketing model), it is 75,000 pesos added to the price your attendees pay.

The honest conclusion: someone always pays the commission. The difference is how much and who. If your event moves volume, the 1 percent Pro plan is where MaunaOne gets the biggest advantage. If it is a small, one-time event, the free Starter plan at 5 percent with no monthly fee makes sense.

When and how you get paid

There is a structural difference here that matters a lot when managing the cash flow of a large event.

Boletia releases payments on established payout dates through a clearing account, with currency conversion according to their terms.

Passline delivers the ticket value to you because the fee is absorbed by the buyer.

MaunaOne uses Stripe Connect: the money goes directly into your own Stripe account. You control your payouts, without an intermediary holding onto your funds.

Distribution: where your people actually buy

In Mexico, people don't live on a ticketing portal; they live on WhatsApp.

All three have a public page for your event. The difference is that MaunaOne is designed WhatsApp-first: it generates a wa.me link so you can sell within the same conversation where you are already talking to your audience, without sending them somewhere else. Boletia and Passline start from a web portal.

Beyond the ticket

Boletia and Passline are ticketing companies: they do ticketing, and they do it well.

MaunaOne is a Revenue OS, not just ticket sales. On the same platform, you manage capacity-limited reservations, an in-person point of sale, QR code check-in, and a reseller network where every sale is attributed to the person who generated it. If you only sell tickets for one concert a year, a pure ticketing platform is enough. If you also host experiences, workshops, tastings, or recurring events, having everything in one place saves you from jumping between tools.

Which one is right for you?

  • Boletia: if you want a recognized ticketing brand in Mexico and standard ticketing features.

  • Passline: strong for concerts and tours, self-managed, and with an assigned account executive. Just remember that the cost lives inside the price your buyer pays.

  • MaunaOne: if you want the money to go directly to your Stripe, to sell via WhatsApp, to control your commission starting from 1 percent, and to manage more than just tickets.

There is no single answer. It depends on the volume of your event, how much you sell through WhatsApp, and whether you only do ticketing or also offer experiences.
